The Original Barnaby's (Fairview)
Most have been to at least one of Barnaby's many locations. But, most have not been to the original Barnaby's, which is located deep in Montrose near Taft. It's got that cozy, ecclectic, casual, Austin feel to it. I think the structure might even be a mobile home. Barnaby's has really good food, known for their comfort foods, ginormous and really good salads, tasty crispy thin fries, lemonade, and if you haven't had one of Barnaby's chocolate chip cookies...well have one of those next time you're there, it's my favorite spot for a chocolate chip cookie. If you know of another place that has reeeeeally good chocolate cookies, please share.
Also, in case you're a homophobe, this is probably not the place for you to go if that's the case. It is deep in Montrose and that's all I have to say about that. I love the casual, quaint vibe there! Great place if you're looking for something different, cozy,
